The third in the series of “Going Further with Science” short video competitions held under the theme of “Experiments” for primary, secondary, high school and vocational school students organised with the support of the European Commission, as part of the European Research and Innovation Days, has been completed. The awards were presented to the winning schools during an award ceremony held at Necati Taşkın Primary School Sports Hall onWednesday, 29 March 2023.
Speaking at the award ceremony with the participation of winning students, teachers and school principals, the Deputy Director and Head of Unit for the Cyprus Settlement Support Unit at the European Commission Mr. Kjartan Björnsson, emphasised the importance of the laboratory and

equipment facilities provided to 48 primary and 46 secondary schools as well as the mobile laboratory as part of the EU Aid Programme for the Turkish Cypriot community. Björnsson stated that such EU initiatives demonstrate the commitment of the European Union in supporting innovation and research in the Turkish Cypriot community.
This year is the European Year of Skills and the European Union is committed to improving the skills of everyone in Europe.
