At the panel, the opportunities that artificial intelligence offers to research and academia within the framework of the European Commission’s European Strategy for AI in Science will be discussed, along with the ethical, methodological, and institutional challenges it brings. Additionally, the role of AI in scientific research, its impact on academic production and education, and principles for responsible and transparent use will be explored from different perspectives.
