“Colours of Sound” Discussion and Concert Event To commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the EU Infopoint, in collaboration with the European Mediterranean Art Association (EMAA), is hosting a unique event titled “Colours of Sound”. 

On December 3, 2024, at the Bedestan in Nicosia, the Papageorgio String Quartet will perform composer Hüseyin Kırmızı’s piece “Color et Sonor”. This special composition was created to enable visually impaired individuals to experience colours through music. 

Event Highlights: 

Mini discussion with the composer: A brief discussion with Hüseyin Kırmızı about the inspiration and creative process behind his musical work. 

Concert: A performance of the ten-part composition “Color et Sonor” by the Papageorgio String Quartet. This marks the first open to public performance of the piece, and simultaneous interpretation in Turkish and English, as well as Turkish sign language interpretation, will be available for all attendees.
