The European Commission marked this year’s European Researchers Night 2015 with a gala event at Bedestan Nicosia on Tuesday 29 September from 19.30 – 21.30 where local researchers shared their latest research projects and highlighted how science can make a difference to our daily lives.

This year is the 10 year anniversary of European Researchers Night which is celebrated in over 300 cities in 24 European cities. The gala event at Bedestan organised by the EU Infopoint, was a first time opportunity for researchers from the Turkish Cypriot community to showcase their work in science and innovation.

A number of local researchers presented their work and provided demonstrations. The event ended with a cocktail reception.
