EU Support to the Bi-Communal Technical Committees Facility

The European Commission, as part of its support to confidence building measures, announces the signature of the new "Support to the Bi-Communal Technical Committees Facility" contribution agreement with UNDP.  The contribution agreement is for a value of €1 million with a duration of two years. 

The facility will support the work of the Technical Committees (TCs), established by the two leaders under the auspices of the United Nations. It will seek to enable cooperation and encourage greater interaction and understanding between the communities by addressing issues that affect the day-to-day life of people. The work of the facility aims to help build confidence and thereby contribute  to a comprehensive settlement of the Cyprus issue.
